November 2020:

Thanks to Mr. Michimasa Hirata, an Atomic Bomb survivor who is dedicated to sharing his tragic experience overseas, we now have a new partner in the USA, Iowa University. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are fewer opportunities to get the survivors’ testimony in person, and students in the US cannot come to Hiroshima. So we hope that these second-generation Hibaku-jumoku saplings will convey the stories of Hiroshima to the students and faculty at Iowa University.
