In 2020, Mr. Steven Leeper, former chairman of the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation and former member of GLH working group, suggested that in view of pandemic era restrictions Dr. Izumi Harris contact Dr. Hideko Tamura at One Sunny Day Initiatives for GLH seeds. In April 2021, Indiana University Indianapolis received the ginkgo sapling. Pictured left are members of the community, including a representative for a chancellor and a dean, who participated in the planting ceremony.
