The Tibet center kindly send the latest photo of the ginkgo sapling with Lama Geshe Ten Dhar and the new plaque. The sapling is growing well under the good care in spite of recent extreme weather.

Time to protect the Ginkgo at the Tibet Center Austria in Huettenberg, as the hungry deer and rabbit start looking at the juicy Ginkgo buds! So our wonderful GLH partner Michael Kosch decided to fence the little Ginkgo a bit earlier this year.
The gingko sapling at Tibet Center Austria is ready for the harsh winter. Thanks to the devoted work of Michael Kosch it is now surrounded by a safety net against foraging deers and rabbits and covered by a "blanket" made from leaves as protection from the heavy snow. Thank you Michael—may it stay strong and survive the freezing temperature!
Three years after a batch of Hibaku seeds arrived in Austria, the first Gingko sapling therein has been planted at the Tibet Center Austria in Huettenberg, Carinthia. At a ceremony filled with peace and friendship, the planting ceremony was the highlight event marking the birthday of H.H. Dalai Lama on 6 July. Gesche Tenzin Dhargye, Master of the Tibet Center, prayed for the Gingko along with Mayor of the town, Josef Ofner as the first A-bombed tree was being planted in Austrian soil.
