October 2022:

New seeds from survivor trees sent by GLH to Malaysia are delayed and have yet to reach their destination at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). In the meanwhile, our new partner in Malaysia Mme Junko Hiyama organized the "Clean & Green Culture in Japan-Furoshiki Workshop" held online, joined by Dr. Asami Ogura of the Kure National College of Technology (Kure Kosen), another GLH partner who reported on the her school’s A-bombed tree-planting ceremony at her school. Two exchange students from Kure Kosen at UTHM also gave a presentation on the planting of A-bombed trees on and peace education efforts in Hiroshima. UTHM has shown that even without having a survivor trees physically present, their message and spirit of hope and peace can are still be heard.
