August 2025:

We wish to thank the Dunedin Botanic Garden and the unwavering support of Lee Vallance in New Zealand, for the wonderful work they are doing. We are happy to present some of the planting initiatives from seeds that were donated in 2017 by GLH to Dunedin Botanic Garden.

• The saplings have been successfully nurtured and planted in the Otago and Canterbury regions, attended by the Mayor of Christchurch at the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. The Dunedin Botanic Garden has been a pivotal partner in this effort, with numerous saplings now thriving in their care and in local community spaces.
• Community plantings have taken place in and around Dunedin, which have been a point of pride for the local Rotary club, as well as for Dunedin City Council.

  • Official planting was on World Peace Day, September 21, 2024, attended by the Mayor of Dunedin.
