A ginkgo sapling was planted on 29 August 2014 at Polkovnichiy Island, Semey, by Mr. O. Suleymenov, president of Anti-Nuclear Movement (IAM) Nevada-Semey, and Mr. Y. Komizo, chairperson of theHiroshima Peace Culture Foundation.
