Thanks to the support and dedication of Dr. Gerardo Avalos and Dr. Jorge Wagner at the University of Costa Rica, Ito Eiko of the Embassy of Japan in Costa Rica, the Hiroshima Botanical Garden and many many others a new batch of our seeds safely arrived in Costa Rica.

Ciudad Universitaria Rodrigo Facio Brenes, San José, San PedroThanks to the efforts of our partners the GLH regional hub at the University of Costa Rica, on 27th May a fourth Hiroshima Ginkgo tree was planted at the residence of the Ambassador of Japan in San José, Costa Rica. The ceremony was covered by news media, sharing with a wider audience the message of peace and resilience embodied by Hiroshima's survivor trees.
GLH received exciting updates from our partner Dr. Gerardo Avalos, that the structures/procedures for regional hub system functions for Latin America are now in place at the University of Costa Rica (UCR). The next country seeds will be sent to through is Mexico. Please look out for updates regarding all the new communities we will reach thanks to UCR!
On a private visit to Japan, Dr. Warner from the University of Costa Rica visited GLH in Hiroshima.
